After Midnight – A blues club Dorian Kuper used to frequent. In Devoted in Death, Morris says he used to see him there, and they jammed together a number of times, had drinks, and talked of music.[1] One of the bartenders was named Stewie.[2]
Eve described it as a moody little place with a scatter of patrons and an ancient piano player noodling the keys as a woman with the face and body of a siren swayed and sang about love gone the wrong way around. It was an intimate place, with tables crowded together and huddled close to the stage, a single bar with a man tending it, and dim and faintly blue lighting.[3]
