- Assault charge, dropped - her estranged at the time husband came at her outside her house and got two punches in before she wailed on him, both were charged, but only his stuck, given her history of multiple 9-1-1 calls prior to her moving out and filing for divorce.
- Spent time in prison for ID forgery three years later.
Interesting Facts[]
- She learned in prison of the many other victims of abuse also locked up, and dedicated her life to helping them escape.
- She founded the shelter a year after she was released.
- Alva Quirk stayed there for six or seven months when she first escaped Garrett Wicker, about five years after the shelter was founded.
- She created an ID for Alva and found her a job in West Virginia working in housekeeping at a resort, where she remained until a law-and-order convention took place and she saw Wicker.
She wiped Alva’s ID again, at her request, and never heard from her again.
- She documented Alva’s injuries when she arrived at the shelter and had Alva’s notebooks from when she was married. Eve sent Uniform Carmichael and Officer Shelby to Ohio to get them; the NYPSD then used those to prosecute Wicker for spousal abuse.
