• Signs of malnutrition, little professional dental care - six cavities, untreated, two lost teeth, several others chipped or broken. Right wrist broken in early childhood, around age 5, and healed poorly. Had a hairline fracture on her left ankle, probably a week or ten days prior to death. Had another hairline fracture on her right elbow, probably from being pushed down and landing on her right side. Her toes overlapped, indicating her shoes were too small.
• Roarke chose her last name, West, because she was found on the West Side, and Eve chose Angel: “Might as well do the higher power thing. She deserves something.”
