- One of three artists who were known for figure studies in black-and-white, like charcoal or pencil drawings. The others were Simon Fent and Selma Witt.
- Artwork from one of those artists was stolen from Jordan Banks’s apartment, according to his assistant, Maisie Kelsi, from the Banks Gallery.
- One of his early sketches, Reunited, was a gift to Banks to thank him for showing his work, but it was stolen from his apartment the night Banks was killed.
- He and Banks had a falling out a couple of years ago and he pulled all his work from the Banks Gallery.
- He went to Italy to paint but recently came back to New York and was right on the edge of breaking out as a major artist.
- He was killed on the night of his first major American showing when the Salon gallery in Greenwich Village was blown up by a suicide bomber.
