Interesting Facts[]
- She used to have a cat, but Rodin died the previous winter.
- She worked the Art in the Park festival in April, 2061. Morris, Garnet DeWinter, and her daughter walked through it, admiring her work, including a gargoyle DeWinter hadn’t known she was looking for until she saw it. DeWinter took her card and visited her home studio, where she bought the gargoyle directly from Byrd to save her the gallery commission, and chatted with her about possibly commissioning a sculpture of her daughter and her dog.[3]
- Poets and Painters, on the street level of the building that housed her studio and apartment was one of the places where she had some pieces - they sold arts and crafts made by people who lived or worked locally.[3]
- Her brother lived in Atlanta, and he and his wife had a baby the morning after Ariel was killed. Her father died four years ago in an unspecified accident.[2]
- She also had the same deal going with Village Scene.[4]
