- Called Eve “Mavis’s cop”
- Eve introduced Peabody as her cop
- Told Peabody “you ain’t much bigger than a pea”
- Lifted Eve up and into the short hallway, then carts her into a padded elevator
- Asked Eve for money for her “share of the eats”
- Had been alerted to Roarke as “fine and prime”
- Brought Eve and Peabody two dark brown bottles, Jess’s brew from his family down south; Eve was pleasantly surprised when the liquid slid mellowly down her throat
- When Mary asked Eve why she wasn’t wearing some flash since she was “linked up with a rich man,” Eve told her “My underwear’s solid gold. It chafes some, but it makes me feel secure.”
- Mary then slapped Eve on the back hard enough to bop her head into the glass; Eve commented to Peabody that “we ought to sign her up. She wouldn’t need a weapon or body armor.”
