City Girl – A screen series starring Missy Lee Durante as Elsie, a sweet, naïve teenager who moved to New York from Iowa when her father got a new job. Larinda Mars was blackmailing Durante in Secrets in Death.[1] Marshall Poster played Tad, who was the high school football quarterback Elsie was crushing on, even though he was a shitbag under it, and he was playing her so she would do his homework. Peabody said “She’s staying up late doing his assignments while he’s laughing behind her back and cruising with that little bitch Jade Potts.”[2]
Not to be confused with City Girl, a ladies’ shop located near On the Rocks and mentioned in Delusion in Death.[3]
