  • Detective Dennison tried to stop him from going after Eve and got an elbow to his gut.
  • He threatened Eve, calling her “Whitney’s pet poodle and some rich man’s toy,” and then shoved her. Whitney showed up in the bullpen in time to stop him from further physical assault.
  • According to Webster, he’d always had a hair-trigger, but it had been worse since his wife left him a couple of years ago.
  • He went off on Peabody, asking her where her bitch partner was before Jenkinson blocked him. Eve had her write it up to add to the report she filed against him, and Whitney took his badge, this not being his first out-of-line, out-of-control incident.[3]
  • When he lost his badge - immediate termination for cause - Whitney warned Eve to watch her six.[4]
  • He attacked Eve in the garage at Central the next morning, after a night of drinking, and as she reached for her restraints, he pulled a clutch piece out of an ankle holster and fired off a stream, which went side, missing her, and hitting Baxter, who had driven in just after Eve. Luckily, Baxter was wearing Thin Shield lining and was only bruised.[5]
  • His wife left him, claiming physical and emotional abuse in the divorce filing, and he’d been keeping a file on Eve since Nadine’s first book came out.[6]
  • He hit on Nadine pretty hard right after she got the crime beat and she was doing a follow-up on internal investigations at the NYPSD, about four years ago. He was reluctant to take no, but Nadine didn’t date cops - conflict of interest. He told her nobody had to know, but she didn’t like him - he was good to look at but she just didn’t like him, plus it came out he was married. He tagged her a couple of times and went by her place once, which is when she told him she’d report him if he didn’t back off. He got pissed, but backed off.[7]
  • The PA charged him with felony assault and assault with a weapon, possession of an illegal weapons, and other related charges. He was denied being released on his own recognizance, and bail was denied until a full psychiatric eval.[8]
