Interesting Facts[]
- Taj Kohli worked under her for five years.[3]
- Eighteen years on the job with a lot of busts and commendations under her belt; a couple of reprimands for insubordination. Holding on to her captain’s rank, held less than a year, by her fingernails.[2]
- Had a drinking problem and would, on occasion, drink at Purgatory though, on the night Kohli was murdered, she was at a rehab meeting in a church basement in Brooklyn.[4]
- She made two payments to Lucius Breck, a substance abuse counselor, of three thousand dollars each.[5]
- Partnered with Art Clooney at one time.[6]
- According to Chief Tibble, her house (precinct) was a mess.[7]
- One of the officers who worked under her command, Officer Roland Tobias, was on the take and therefore terminated. In Obsession in Death, we learn that he took his own life that summer.[8] We also learn that a detective under her command, Gina Tortelli, was busted down to uniform and then quit the job.[9]
