Erotica (Illegal drug) – Erotica, combined with Zeus, accounted for most of the rapes in New York City.[1] According to Biff in Immortal in Death, the buzz was that Pandora was an Erotica junkie.[2]
Vengeance in Death[]
Vengeance in Death opened with Eve Dallas in Interview with John Henry Bonning, a second-rate chemi-dealer who was cooking up some Erotica in his porta-lab on Avenue D with Charles Michael Renekee, when Bonning threw Renekee out of a 12th story window because of a dispute over twenty credits.[3]
Purity in Death[]
Traces of substances identified as Jazz and Erotica were still in the damaged hospitality bowl in the living area of Nick Greene’s apartment.[4] Dru Geller was said to run “private clubs, selling young meat to patrons. Runaways, mostly, she scoops them up and pumps them full of Erotica.”[5]
Portrait in Death[]
Diego Feliciano’s alibi for the time of Rachel Howard’s murder was going from club to club and then some action with a blonde chica who wanted a bang. “We were wasted, okay? Scored a little Zoner, dipped a little Erotica.”[6]
Divided in Death[]
Blair Bissel had vials of Rabbit, a bag of Zeus, and another of Erotica in the goodie drawer at his studio.[7]
Eternity in Death[]
Tiara Kent’s tox results included Zeus, Erotica, Whore, Rabbit, Stunner, Bliss, and Boost[8]
Ritual in Death[]
Jackson Pike was doped with Erotica, Rabbit, Zoner, Jive, and Lucy.[9]
Festive in Death[]
One of Trey Ziegler’s tea mixes contained a Rohypnol-bremelanotide compound, which Dickie Berenski called “Erotica with a twist.”[10]
Devoted in Death[]
Ella-Loo Parsens told Darryl Roy James Reed Aaron Mulligan’s “pecker’s nothing to write home about, but once we get some Erotica in him, get the wood going on him, he’ll do all right,” meaning he would be able to rape Jayla Campbell.[11] Later, Jayla overheard them discussing upping the dose of Erotica so he’d last longer with her.[12]
Brotherhood in Death[]
Frederick Betz had some Erotica in his goodie drawer at home, in addition to vibrators, glides in various flavors, flavored condoms, jeweled nipple clamps, velvet cuffs, Stay Up, and some other chemical boosts, including illegal ones.[13]
Dark in Death[]
In an attempt to save Loxie Flash’s life, Eve told her, “I don’t give a rat’s ass if you drink yourself into a coma or pop enough Erotica to bang your way from dusk to dawn, just stay out of the clubs. Stay out of the clubs if you want to live.”[14] In Dark Deeds, the victim went back to her table in the club, “pops a little Erotica, brags that she’ll have motive up in a privacy room, how she can lead him by the cock wherever she wants him.”[15] In the copycat murder, Flash had a decent supply of Erotica at home but decided to dip on her friend Janis Dorsey for the party favors instead and save her own for a trip to the islands.[16] Her tox screen showed “vodka, a whiff of vermouth, pomegranate juice, and a lethal twist of cyanide. That’s in addition to the Buzz, Erotica, Zoner, and the champagne cocktail - champagne, bitters, sugar substitute, and a splash of grenadine - already in her system.”[17]
Leverage in Death[]
Jordan Banks “sat on the wide ledge of an apricot-colored jet tub big enough for four friends, fired up a joint of Erotica-laced Zoner he’d taken as a party favor, and contemplated” how to get extra money for the information he’d given on the Quantum Air-EconoLift buyout/merger.[18] His ex, Willimina Karson, said one of the reasons she didn’t spend much time with Banks’s friends was “I wasn’t going to get caught up and have my name and my company splashed over the media by being photographed at some party where Erotica and Buzz are offered like canapés.”[19] Banks’s tox screen showed he’d been flying high on wine, Erotica, and Zoner when he’d wandered like an idiot into Central Park at three in the morning (before being killed).[20]
Connections in Death[]
Lyle Pickering’s last bust was over a fight with a rival gang member. “Both had knives over the legal limit, and he had possession of Zeus, Erotica, and other substances with a street value of around six thousand on him.”[21] Slice’s flop at Bangers HQ had “Zoner smoke, with a chaser of Erotica” hanging in the air “like dreamy fog.”[22]
Shadows in Death[]
Morris told Eve about a floater he was autopsying: “accidental death as it turned out. Demonstrating one shouldn’t drink to excess, chasing vodka tonics with Erotica, while going on a moonlight sail.”[23]
Random in Death[]
Francis Bryce made his own street drugs, handily labeled: Zeus, Whore, Erotica.[24]
Not to be confused with Erotica, a sexual fantasy VR program with dual remote controls mandatory; one of Roarke’s companies manufactured it, and it was mentioned in Rapture in Death.[25]
