Hudson Yards – The location of the River View and Hudson Yards Village development projects in Forgotten in Death. Although the entire property used to be owned by Singer Family Developers, only part of it, called River View, was being developed by them, with the remainder being developed by Roarke as [Hudson Yards Village - residential and office buildings, a shopping arcade, and a green space. Alva Quirk’s body was found on the Singer side and the remains of Johara Murr and her fetus were found on Roarke’s side.[1] Singer developed a second project in Hudson Yards at the same time as River View, called Hudson South-West, but the Urban Wars put a stop to that. James Bolton Singer sold off a portion of Hudson South-West, but wanted to build the Singer Tower before he retired. He had hoped to develop the entire project but had some health scares and when his son, Bolton Kincade Singer, took over, he decided there were other areas that took priority, including the project where his father had built the signature tower, so he sold the rest of South-West to Roarke (some of it had been sold to Nolan and Sons prior, and Roarke bought that piece from them to combine it into a larger property).[2]
