Hudson Yards Village – A construction project located on the Hudson Yards site and featured in Forgotten in Death. There was another project being worked on at that location by Singer Family Developers, called River View, but this one was residential and office buildings, a shopping arcade, and a green space, and owned by Roarke. Jim Mackie, who was demolishing a restaurant there, found the remains of Johara Murr and her unborn child on the same day that Manuel Best had found Alva Quirk’s body on the Singer side. The project was a revitalization of what was started before the Urban Wars, and should be an urban jewel, according to Mackie. The part where the remains were found was poured in 2024, and would be the Sky Garden phase (the green space).[1]
Roarke purchased the property in two pieces, the far west side from Nolan and Sons, and the rest from Singer, who had previously owned both sections.[2]
