Interesting Facts[]

  • Had been a member of Natural Order for eight years.
  • Married seven years to another member, a microbiologist.
  • She was Gwen Huffman’s first lover. She met Gwen when she was eighteen - she had a job with a family as a baby/dog sitter. She went with them for their two weeks at the beach in the Hamptons, where she met Gwen. They were each other’s firsts, but not serious, more experimental.
  • She had an arrest right after she turned twenty-one for aggravated assault, which she claimed was self-defense. The charges were dropped, with the public defender being another member.
  • She was an elementary school teacher before she was married.
  • She was orphaned at eleven when her father killed her mother, then himself. She went into the foster system.
  • She and her husband had been planning how to leave the order - she joined because he was a member, but it doesn’t reflect who they are now, their beliefs, their values. It paid the bills, so Anson had to find another job before they could leave. They can’t be in the order and know that if any or all of her children fell in love with someone who doesn’t look like them or has the same gender, they would still be their world.
  • They’re not inside the circle and don’t do a lot of socializing with other members. It’s overlooked because they have four young children, but when Sasha started school in the fall she would be expected to attend a school approved by the order and begin weekly instructions on the tenets of the order. They won’t allow that. They’re apprehensive but not afraid.
