Introduction[]
Jake Kincade first appeared in Apprentice in Death, when his band, Avenue A, played a show at Madison Square Garden with Mavis and the venue was attacked by Willow Mackie.
Descriptions[]
- A man with purple-streaked black hair that curled madly past the collar of a black t-shirt and a studded, sleeveless black vest. He wore black jeans, scuffed boots that laced up his calves. He rivaled McNab for ear loops. His eyes were a heavy-lidded sharp crystal blue. His mouth curved a little, deepening the creases in his cheeks. Long legs, and stands about 6'5" in his boots.[1]

- His hair was blue-streaked in Random in Death[3]

- According to Roarke, Jake “has a reputation for being a hardworking musician, and one with a reasonably clean lifestyle.”[4]
- He called Nadine “Lois,” as in “Lois Lane.”

- Bought his mother a house when Avenue A had their first hit.[5]
- Cohabbed with a woman for 6 years prior to dating Nadine.[5]
- He was arrested in 2046 for assault, disturbing the peace, and destruction of property. All charges were dropped when numerous videos showed that he had been goaded into it by a “drunk asshole.”[5]
- According to Eve, Jake has had “a serious lot of speeding tickets - all over hell and back.”[5]
- Owned a converted warehouse in downtown New York on Avenue A. The warehouse had been converted to a studio and living space.[5]
- Jake's studio was called East Side Sound.
- Jake was a bit of an artist and helped Yancy with the ID sketch of Strongbow.[5]
- He and his other bandmates have volunteered to teach music classes at An Didean.[6]
