- Graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, got a degree but was not an outstanding student.[6]
- He liked to travel, party, sail, and golf. He had a big, splashy society wedding.[6]
- No criminal, but business reports of failed enterprises and interviews with him touting major deals that either never came about or went under, including the Hudson Yards project.[6]
- He tapped his right foot when he was lying.[7]
- He golfed with Michael C. Breathed, who was his mother’s criminal attorney; he was represented by a junior partner, Indina Cross.[7]
