- Murdered at 522 West Forty-third, 3rd floor, 3rd door, in a hotel (The West Side) owned by Roarke Industries.
- Lured there by someone claiming to be Roarke.
- She was tranq’d and hanged with her right eye removed.
- Kevin’s first appearance - the murderer gave him a two-dollar credit to give Eve a message:
- “It’s the third but not the last. You’re quick but not too fast. No matter how much flash, no matter how much cash, no bastard son of Eire can ever escape his past. Amen.”
- An Irish jig was playing from a small recorder disc.
- Morris, during the autopsy, found an object about the size of a five-dollar credit in Jennie’s vagina. The object was glossy white with a bright green image painted on it; on the other side was an oblong shape that met at one end with crossed lines. A four-leaf clover was one of the images, the other was a fish, a symbol of the Church.[2]
- His murderer left a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mother facing her.
