  • This was his first time headlining, and his grandparents, although divorced, always come to his opening nights (front row center), but when his grandfather didn’t show and he couldn’t reach him by ’link, he was worried and went to his house, where he found his body.
  • His mother was in Australia, he didn’t get along with his father, and his grandmother was snowed in with a canceled flight from Chicago.
  • His grandfather was the one who encouraged and backed him when he went to Juilliard instead of Yale, and studied theater instead of law or medicine or politics, whatever would have been suitable for his parents. He lived with his grandfather when he was getting started.
  • His girlfriend, ex-gf, and voice coach came to the show, which got six curtain calls and a standing ovation.
  • He went to after-show party with the crew, so he didn’t get to his grandfather’s house until around 3:30 a.m.
