• His skin was as dark as a new moon, so that the whites of his eyes and his eyes and teeth gleamed like ice. His palms were so wide, his fingers so long, that the size fifteen Mikon Avalanche shoe Eve was holding didn’t look outsized when he held it.
• Former power forward for the Knicks; he’d been retired nearly eight years now - said “it’s a young man’s game, as most are.”
• The shop was three floors - the main floor with one up and one down.
• Foot apparel was on the lower level; it included shoes, socks, house slippers, boots, leg slickers (with or without belly control panels), shoe protectors, shoe boxes, heating inserts, foot and ankle jewelry, and many more products related to foot care or decoration.
• Peabody did a little early Christmas shopping, picking up several pairs of colorful socks for her brother and grandfather, both of whom had large feet.
