Interesting Facts[]
- Nigel McEnroy date-raped her, and she left Perfect Placement after three months. Sylvia Brant arranged for her to be paid $100,000 since it wasn’t possible to prove there was rape.[2]
- She was alibied for the night of his murder - she and her beau were together, first meeting for dinner at Roscoe’s, and then catching some music at The Blue Note. He walked her home around midnight.
- The last thing she remembered before waking up in McEnroy’s bedroom was being called into his office, where he apologized for being inappropriate, saying he’d misread signals and she was a valued member of the team. He gave her coffee, and she had a vague memory of walking out with him and feeling off, like she’d been drinking, but good drinking, like loose. Then she was in the back of a car with him and his hands were on her, but she didn’t mind. He gave her a drink and then she didn’t remember anything after that until she woke up in his bed, where he showed her a vid of them having sex. He told her he would ruin her if she went to the police or told anyone - she’d never get a decent job in the field again. He told her to get dressed and get out because his wife was coming home that afternoon.
- She and Jasmine Quirk, who was also raped by McEnroy, joined a support group afterwards, Women For Women.
