Interesting Facts[]
- Lori called her a border collie, in the best way, saying that she (Lori) was a failure when it came to times and dates, particularly when she was inside a case, so Lilia handled all the details for her, including making sure she stopped work in time to shower and dress.[2]
- She had been with Lori for about 8 years.
- Her office was Suite 201 in a four-decker with three levels of apartments over a shawarma joint and a shoe repair.
- Had just gotten back from yoga when Eve came over to interview her, and was wearing a sunburst skin suit covered by a flowy green topper. She tried to get in a couple of real practices every week.
- Her grandmother had just sent her cookies, which she shared with Eve, along with real coffee. Her grandmother made the best chocolate chip cookies in the tristate area and was addicted to the Crime Channel, so Lilia was aware of Dr. Strazza’s death and Daphne’s attack.
- She told Eve that if she ever needed someone to organize and coordinate for her, her calendar, her social engagements, her bookings - personal, not arrests - or her entertainment obligations, she’d be all over it.
- Talked fast and had lots of energy.
- Was at the Strazzas’s wedding because she was friends with Darcy Valentine, of Valentine Event Coordinators and they were hired to do it. Darcy worked with Dr. Anthony Strazza, whom she nicknamed “Groomzilla” or “Dr. Dictator,” while Lilia, who she called in to help, worked with Daphne, who she nicknamed “Dream Bride.” It was a huge, splashy event at the Roarke Palace Hotel, where all the huge, splashy, society weddings took place.
- Dr. Strazza ran the show, and was very clear about what he expected in an unpleasant way. Daphne was a spectacular bride, absolutely fairy-tale time, and the wedding was perfect.
- Darcy gave her entire staff a combat bonus after the wedding, and Daphne sent personal thank you notes to both Darcy and her after they returned from their honeymoon. Lilia said that Daphne had a quiet class that comes from a good upbringing.
- She planned the Brinkmans’s annual Thanksgiving trip to the Hamptons, including the dinner (catered by First Class).
- She, Rhia and Marshall Vicker and Lori and Ira Brinkman sat at the same table for the Celebrate Art Gala the previous year.
