- Found naked on her bed, bound with the robe sash that had been used to strangle her still around her neck; it was tied in a bow under her chin.
- A note was left addressed to “Lieutenant Eve Dallas, NYPSD” and was stuck between the toes on her left foot.
- She had been raped and sodomized with a broomstick.
- Her murder was an imitation of an Albert DeSalvo (The Boston Strangler) type murder.[2]
