Self-terminated using his service weapon while under investigation for what turned out to be a twenty-six year career span of corruption. He had over two decades of bad acts, polished over with citations for bravery, shiny medals, and promotions.
He ran a small, tight syndicate of cops on the take - witness tampering, political bribery, and protection rackets.
Captain Martin Greenleaf exposed the syndicate with the help of a rookie Noy had begun to groom - Officer Kent Boxer’s body had been found in a meat locker, hanging from a hook. He’d been tortured and beaten before his throat was slit.
His daughter found his body.
His family lost their home and everything else Noy had accumulated through his corruption.
Just shy of five months later, his nineteen-year-old son, a criminal justice major at NYU, hanged himself.
Ella now lived on Long Island and remarried the previous year (2060).
Elva Arnez, who insinuated herself with his family, devised a plan to have Greenleaf and his son die in the same ways he and Brice did. Her cohab, Denzel Robards, killed Greenleaf, trying to make it look like he self-terminated and they hanged Greenleaf’s oldest son, who was rescued before any permanent physical damage was done.
He met his wife when her fiancé was killed, and Noy was primary; the killer was still inside. Three years later, they married and she became a professional parent.^[2]
