History[]
- Born: St. Paul, Minnesota; Parents: James and Karen Percell[4]
- Graduated high school at fifteen; attended Princeton and graduated on an accelerated program in just under three years (cum laude)[4]
- She knew art and music, and literature. She had a head for figures, and an appetite for, well, glamour, you could say. She was also beautiful, polished, sophisticated, smart. She spoke flawless French and Italian
- Married Andre Dupont (a former “mark”), June 22, 2048 (no offspring) – divorced March 2051; married Georges Fayette, April 5, 2055 (no offspring) – divorced October 2059.[4]
- She hadn’t seen Roarke in nearly twelve years;[5] she was “in the game” (of crime [thief/con]) and used to compete with Roarke before they worked together on a couple of jobs and then parted ways[6]
Interesting Facts[]
- Former lover of Roarke’s[7] and interested in renewing their relationship[8]
- She arranged to, seemingly “by chance,” bump into Roarke at Le Printemps; it was set up and carefully arranged by Magdelana[9]
- She arranged for a cameraman to be available to shoot a video of her saying good-bye to Roarke; it was intended to be seen as an intimate moment; Mavis spotted the set-up (con) and pointed it out to Eve[10]
- She made a last bid to cause trouble when she arrived at their home and Eve walked in after she had flung herself at Roarke. Eve punched Roarke, then Magdelana, and told Roarke he was going to want to get that “mess” out of her house[11]
- Eve referred to Magdelana as “Magdabitch” in Strangers in Death.[12]
- In Secrets in Death, we learned that Larinda Mars had information about her, and was trying to find an angle to use her previous affair with Roarke against Eve.[13] Roarke said she (Magdelana) tried to stay at one of his hotels in Port-au-Prince in the company of another guest, but was turned out and away per his directive that she was not allowed on his property.[14]
YANNI[]
- Roarke set their lunch meeting for 1:00 p.m... later it read that he told her noon, and made the reservation for 12:30 p.m.[15]
