  • Got off work and took the subway home where she walked the last two blocks to her apartment. She saw a man trying to load a sofa into the back of a truck and, noticing the cast on his right arm, offered to help him.
  • Once she was in the van, he struck her repeatedly with the cast but she managed to spray him with mugger spray (which triggered an alarm when engaged) before she fell to the pavement.[2]
    • Injuries include broken ribs, collapsed lung, bruised kidneys, dislocated shoulder, broken elbow, and a shattered skull with bone fragments in her brain.[3]
  • It was an imitation of Ted Bundy by Niles Renquist.[4]
  • She survives and is able to identify him from a photograph.[5]

Interesting FactsEdit

  • Worked the two to ten shift at Riley's Irish Pub, her uncle's place, to help finance her post-grad work at Columbia where she was studying horticulture.[6]
  • She knew Rachel Howard and Gerald Stevenson very slightly (from Portrait in Death) and had taken a brief break from school while the murders had been happening.[7]
