- His mother suffered bouts of depression after her final pregnancy and died by suicide.[2]
- Nashville Jones caught Monty trying to drown a girl (DeLonna Jackson) fifteen years ago, and believing it to be the first time this happened returned the girl to her bedroom and had Monty committed to The Full Light Institute for Wellness. He told the director, Dr. Peter Gibbons, that Monty tried to hurt one of the girls in their care and he couldn’t allow him to be around the children or go on without serious psychiatric help.
