  • Relationships: Unnamed parents; unnamed son and daughter-in-law; Naomi (daughter)
  • Occupation: Owner, Ursa’s Fine Jewelry

Interesting Facts[]

  • He and his family owned and ran Ursa’s Fine Jewelry, which had been in the family for three generations, and specialized in estate jewelry.
  • He purchased Jerald Reinhold’s parents’ watches and his mother’s pearl necklace in Thankless in Death, believing that they had died in an accident and that Jerry was too choked up to keep the items.
  • He gave Jerry $45,000 total in cash for the items.
  • Eve told him, “You were kind to him. Don’t let that, or him, make you feel stupid.” She told him Jerry picked him and his store because he was solid, respected, and fair, and would be sympathetic toward someone who told the story he told him.
  • Roarke and Eve both purchased Christmas presents for each other at his store; they exchanged them in Festive in Death:
    • Roarke gave Eve a comb: from its jewel-encrusted peak fell a rich medley of diamonds and rubies, which he assured her Trina would know how to work into her hair. Eve told him he always figures out other ways to hang shiny things on her, and enjoyed watching the way the stones danced. It was an early twentieth century wedding gift from groom to bride, but a few generations later the fortune was squandered and this was sold off in an estate sale. Mr. Ursa had it in his vault for a couple of years, waiting for the right person, which Eve was, and it complemented her holiday dress perfectly.
    • He designed a small white petunia (their wedding flower) lapel pin made of mother-of-pearl and platinum, and held to the lapel with a little super magnet, so no pins or holes; Eve gave this to Roarke.
