Murderer’s Row – An interior thrill ride with lots of screaming at the Coney Island Amusement Center, mentioned in Random in Death as one of the possible rides Francis Bryce would try to take his victim to rape and kill her. It was ages twelve and up without an adult. The ride consisted of one-seater cars trundling into the mouth of a structure made to represent a prison. Over the mouth, a man wearing the old-timey black-and-white-striped con suit bared his teeth in a maniacal grin and swung an axe. Roarke told Eve, “It’s a prison break. Escaped prisoners looking for blood and/or hostages.” Eve ruled it out because of the single-rider cars - “he needs to be with her, right with her.”[1]
