Description[]
- She had ice blue eyes so sharp they looked able to pierce steel. They beamed out of a cool, attractive face topped with short, straight brown hair. Her tone of voice was brisk and no-nonsense.[2]
- She strode with the gait of a woman who got where she was going with a minimum of detours.[3]
- When she saw Roarke outside the administrative building, her razor-sharp eyes took on a sultry hue.[4]

- Her paternal grandfather was a cop in St. Paul; he retired a Detective-Inspector. His stories fascinated her as a child and her family was very proud of him.[7]
