Personal Enhancements[]

Includes products from body paint, hair alternatives, soaps/shampoos, makeup, et cetera. There are salons for body sculpting, mood enhancement, and sexual orientation. Several gyms were outfitted with the latest equipment and licensed consultants were available to wield laser and toning tubes to rid a client of extra pounds and inches. Some are dedicated to the holistic approach and offered chakra balancing to coffee enemas. Mud baths, algae scrapes, injections of the placenta of sheep raised on Alfa Six, tranquility sessions, VR trips, vision adjustments, face-lifts, tucks, and morphs are all available at All Things Beautiful in Holiday in Death.[1]

  • Betty Lou – Affordable, widely available brand of blush that Andrew Dawber used on Lauren Elder in Abandoned in Death; he used the Pop o’ Pink shade. Peabody bought it in Peachy shade for her first blush.[2]
  • Deloren – Mostly sold in salons and spa centers because it’s too pricey for the regulars, Sylvester Yost used their unisex powder, in both loose and compact, in Betrayal in Death[3]
  • Femme - Extremely high-end enhancements; the company also owns designer spas, where their products are used and sold, mentioned in Born in Death[4]
  • Natural Bliss – High dollar hypoallergenic makeup with all-natural ingredients that must be bought through salons or wholesale beauty salons, such as Carnegy Enhancement Supplies, mentioned in Betrayal in Death and used by Sylvester Yost[3]
  • Natural Perfection – High dollar makeup with all-natural ingredients that must be bought through salons or an enhancement center. It is unavailable in regular stores, even high-end ones, or off screen.[5]
  • Salina - A brand of cheek color that Sylvester Yost used in a nice rose quartz in Betrayal in Death.[3]
  • Toot Sweet – Low dollar, easy to find cosmetics Andrew Dawber used on Lauren Elder in Abandoned in Death; he specifically used their tinted moisturizer - two-in-one - for foundation and their bronzer in Sun-Kissed shade[2]
  • Youth – Made by Artistry, Sylvester Yost used their supercover foundation in burnt honey and mocha tones in Betrayal in Death (also see skin care)[6]

Eyes[]

Eye color could be permanently changed, according to information in Naked in Death [7], but was more commonly changed with over the counter temp eye color change kits, such as the one Sylvester Yost used in Betrayal in Death[8] or the one Jerald Reinhold used in Thankless in Death.[9] In Encore in Death, Debra Bernstein had vials of iris-coloring drops.[10]

  • Baby Fawn - the shade Trina used on Peabody’s lids (to go subtle) in Secrets in Death[11]
  • Fog Over London – Pricy eye smudger used on Marianna Hawley in Holiday in Death - it was only available as a separate or in the deluxe package, not as a sample[12]
  • Forest Shadows – the shade of eyeliner Trina used on Peabody in Secrets in Death[11]
  • Lightning Blue Eye kit by Francesco - Eye color change kit Jerry Reinhold used in Thankless in Death[9]
  • Mocha - the shade Trina used in Peabody’s eyelid creases in Secrets in Death[11]
  • Musk Brown – Lash enhancer routinely given as a sample in Holiday in Death[12]

  • Midnight Madness - the shade of polish Andy Dawber used on Anna Hobe in Abandoned in Death, described as “dark blue, nearly black”; it was a Super color by Lovelle, so he paid extra at Salon Pro[34]
  • Neutral French – Manicure[35]
  • On a Moonlit Sea - the Adora shade of polish Andy Dawber told Eve and Peabody was used on Anna Hobe’s finger- and toenails[32]; it was actually Midnight Madness by Lovelle[34]

Perfume[]

  • Alimar Botanicals – The scent The Groom was wearing in Creation in Death; he first discovered it in Paris, and had been pleased to find it was carried in New York at a place called Bliss.[38]
  • Allure Me – The perfume Gwen Huffman purchased before visiting Ariel Byrd in Faithless in Death.[39]
  • Do Me – Wear it and prepare to be ravished; first mentioned in Holiday in Death[40] and also mentioned in Seduction in Death and Born in Death.[41]
  • Orgasma – A scent Saks Fifth Avenue was hawking in Seduction in Death.[42]
  • Party Girl – The eau de toilette Lisa McKinney used to wear when Andrew Dawber was growing up[43]; it was still available in Abandoned in Death (early June, 2061), but targeted primarily to teens and young adults, with its notes of bergamot, vanilla, and patchouli.[2]
  • Snow Queen – A limited edition bottle of this new fragrance was in the gift bags for women at Eve and Roarke’s holiday party in December, 2060 - the fragrance would be on the market in February, 2061.[44]

Skin Care[]

  • Artistry was a skin-care line carried at the Paradise Salon. Artistry made Youth products; Sylvester Yost purchased a six-ounce bottle of Youth Collagen Elixir for Face in Betrayal in Death.[8]
  • Body polish – Gave the body a golden glow; it came in temp and edible with six flavors on the market. Apricot was popular.[45]
  • Ever Young – Skin care cream that Pandora had on her vanity in Immortal in Death[46]
  • Gold-Dust – Body paint that did amazing things for the boobs and made them sparkle. It had a Frangipani flavor.[47]
  • Saturnia products – the facial would clear out the pores like a vacuum; the breast smoother was top of the line.[48]
  • Solie Quench for the face and body - purchased by Jerry Reinhold in Thankless in Death[9]
  • Sun Blast Bronzer for the face and body - purchased by Jerry Reinhold in Thankless in Death in number four[9]
  • That Man - The high-end skin care products Lorcan Cobbe used in Shadows in Death[23]
  • Twenty-four hour facial cosmetics are available that wouldn’t smudge[49]

  • Alban had a tattoo over his heart of a horned goat[53]
  • Erin Albright had a small heart tattoo on her left buttock[54]
  • Astrid Baretta had a mermaid tattoo on her left bicep in Leverage in Death[55]
  • Boyd Bayliss had a small gold and black replica of his shield tattooed on his hip in Judgment in Death[56]
  • Biff has a map tattooed on his bald head[57]
  • Anton Carver had a tattooed cobra coiled, ready to strike, on his impressive bare chest in Passions in Death[58]
  • Burke “Ticker” Chesterfield had a tat of a tear at the inside corner of his right eye in Connections in Death, a cartoon bomb fuse lit and sparking on the side of his throat, explaining his street name, and presumably the Bangers gang tattoo somewhere else on his body in Connections in Death[59]
  • Mary Kate Covino had a large blue butterfly with yellow markings tattooed on her lower back by Andrew Dawber in Abandoned in Death, but she had it removed after she was found, still alive[60]
  • Crack has a vivid green grinning human skull tattoo on his cheek[61]
  • Selina Cross had a tattoo of an inverted pentagram over her left eyebrow[62]
  • Holly Curlow had several tattoos in Indulgence in Death, including a small bird on her inner left ankle and a flaming sun on the back of her right shoulder[63]

  • Arthur Foxx had a tattoo of a black swan on his left ankle in Rapture in Death[65]
