Interesting Facts[]
- They had a big society wedding in June, 2060, and were living in a three-story townhouse on Riverside Drive (since April) with solid security.[3]
- She was a society girl, did good works, and shopped a lot. She did a lot of charity work.
- She and Neville were attacked and robbed by Knightly, dressed as Dracula, in July, 2060. He restrained and beat Neville with fists and a sap, and she was beaten, choked, and raped. There were sound effects of howling wolves during the entire event.[4]
- This was done after the newlyweds returned from an evening out - dinner and theater with friends. They noticed the security system was off when they returned home, but dismissed it, thinking she had forgotten to set it when she left the house to meet Neville at the restaurant. She went upstairs first, and found Knightly, dressed as a vampire - white face, black eyes, pointed incisors, black cape. He grabbed her from behind, held a knife to her throat, and snapped restraints on her wrists behind her back. He had just punched her in the face when Neville came upstairs. Knightly threatened to cut Rosa if he didn’t sit down, and when he hesitated he nicked Rosa. Knightly had Rosa put zip-ties on Neville and tie him to a chair with rope. He put the restraints back on Rosa, had her lie face down, and proceeded to beat Neville with black leather gloved fists and a black weighted sap. He then dragged Rosa to the bed, tore her clothes off, and raped her. He demanded the codes for the three safes and after robbing them, he beat them both unconscious. When Neville came to they were no longer restrained and he called 9-1-1.
- She remembered him whispering in her ear while he raped her, “the best you ever had” over and over, and choking her, telling her to tell him he was the best she ever had or he’d kill her, then Neville.
- Neville said that the whole time Knightly was raping her, he was looking at him, grinning and laughing.
- Knightly wore a black condom and his balls were painted white.
- Knightly stole the contents of their safes, along with a few items, including one of her cocktail dresses, a pair of her evening shoes, and an evening bag.
- Detectives Nikki Olsen and Stan Tredway of SVU were assigned the beating/rape cases for the Patricks and the Brinkmans.[4]
- She had a half-sister from her father’s previous marriage.[5]
- Her parents had been married for about 25 years.[5]
- Her father was fourth-generation Hernandez money, which was substantial. He was an engineer, specializing in rebuilding areas after natural disasters.[5]
- Her mother was on the board of Give Back, an arm of the Hernandez Family Foundation.[5]
- After the attack, they sold the house they loved and moved into a fully secured condo that neither of them wanted.[5]
- Did a fundraiser with Marlene Dressler the previous March, and they used Jacko’s.[2]
- Had chaired committees for two of St. Andrew’s Hospital’s fundraisers and had served on committees for others. The first one was for the pediatric wing and she worked with Daphne Strazza as co-chairs and liked her very much. They had lunch a couple of times, but then Daphne was always busy. When the committee contacted her the following year, they told her Daphne was no longer involved, and she thought it was a shame because she had a knack for that kind of work. She also noticed the signs of Daphne being an abused woman.[2]
