Interesting Facts[]
The Peabody family are Free-Agers
- He liked to build stuff and frequently put in hidden drawers and hidey-holes[4]
- Traveled by camper and liked to bake.[5]
- He was a sensitive and a healer, able to remove or alleviate pain; when trying to help Eve by taking away her headache, he accidentally “saw” what happened to her as a child. Both were very upset by this but talked it over and made peace.[6]
- His code: “To cherish family, to do good work. To enjoy the time we’re given in this lifetime, and to try as best we’re able to cause no harm. With the gift I was given comes another responsibility, another code. To respect, always, the privacy and well-being of others. Never to use what I’ve been given for my own gain, my own amusement or curiosity, or to cause harm.”[7]
- He told Eve that he trusted her with his child’s life [8]
- He and Phoebe visited New York for Peabody’s medal ceremony, when she was awarded the NYPSD’s Meritorious Police Duty Honor for Integrity.[1]
- In Payback in Death, McNab and his daughter went to a flea market in Brooklyn and found a table that he had made - “live edge, this bog, thick plank of oak, farmhouse-style legs.” It was signed with his name and the date, which was the year she was born. They, of course, bought it, and the seller knocked 15% off and then McNab squeezed another 5% off.[9]
- He and Phoebe made a partner’s desk and blown-glass ceiling light for Peabody and McNab and for Mavis and Leonardo, “a charming little child's picnic table with benches, and a lovely family sculpture -- Mavis holding an infant, Leonardo holding Bella. A thank-you for opening their family to Peabody and McNab.” They were to be on their way by the end of the week (August 19, 2061).[10]
