- His office reflected his reception area with its deep tones, deep cushions, gracefully faded carpets, ornately framed art.[1]
- According to Roarke, he was considered a bit of a tool in some circles. Those who respected him did so primarily for what he’d inherited, not what he’d done with it. The sense was he spent far too much on personal travel, income, perks while holding the line at a contrasting low end for employees.[2]
