Interesting Facts[]
- He was eighteen when his father was investigated and found to be corrupt. He found his father’s body - it was ruled a suicide but there were a lot of questions.
- He applied to the Academy, but was denied. No marriages or cohabs on record. One semester community college, booted for non-attendance. Bounced from job to job - retail clerk, stock boy, online sales, currently delivery guy.
- He had a blog, A Real Man, which was racist, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-trans, and anti-government, where he spouted his viewpoints wrapped in crazed conspiracy theories. He spoke for “men everywhere who know how to be men, and not soy-latte-sipping, limp-dick pussies. Real men who are damn well going to take back the power from the frigid bitches and the qu33rs and-“ (he was cut off by Peabody).
- Wore a T-shirt of the Confederate battle flag and had the Don’t Tread on Me symbol tattooed on his right bicep.
- He had a sticker on the door to his apartment proclaiming him a proud member of the Men for Freedom militia.
- He set up a shell company called Protect and Serve to hide an account he used to funnel cash in from a short list of fake clients. It purported to be a security company, with the owner listed as Steve Justice. He dealt only in cash, pulling in between eight and fifteen thousand a month, with all deposits and withdrawals under the minimum for reporting.[2]
- He also owned a property in the Caymans, titled under his shell company, and traveled there via shuttle every four to six weeks, using the name Justice.[2]
- Roarke deduced he was washing money for clients not named under the shell, with some connections to low-level mobsters, very likely the offspring of those his father had connections with. The setup was: a shipment of electronics or fashion or mechanical parts, whatever, was diverted. He sold the products for a commission, and had used this system for about ten years.[2]
- He had nothing to do with Greenleaf’s murder, but Eve turned over his fraud to someone else at the NYPSD.
YANNI[]
- He was either 32 (Chapter 13) or 33 (Chapter 12).
