Suskind Home – The retirement and elder care facility where Adalaide Mosebly lived for twelve or sixteen years (YANNI) as a resident/patient, until her death in February, 2061 at age 106, from heart failure. It had full medical care, including mental and emotional, and was located on Long Island. It was expensive and boasted round-the-clock professional care - body, mind, spirit, they claimed. It had gardens, a recreation area, therapists and a nutritionist. In Abandoned in Death, the director, Elise Grommet, hinted to Eve Dallas that Mosebly had advanced dementia, including paranoia and violent outbursts, which was why her son was no longer able to care for her on his own.[1] Based on sixteen years, the facility cost Jim Mosebly over $343,750 annually.[2]
YANNI: Mrs. Mosebly spent either “the last sixteen years at the Suskind Home” or “a dozen years.” In Chapter 12, it was stated that her son shelled out over five and a half million dollars in the last sixteen years of her life for her care and housing.
