• Eve considered Thomas and Helen decent people who had raised their son with love, with discipline, with care, and still they had been faced with a monster.

• He and his wife now lived in Leesboro, Pennsylvania under the surname “Smith.” They lived in a two-story prefab house with a mini-truck in the drive.
  • They sold everything, their home and business, when they relocated.
  • Helen said she had been told David escaped but said he didn’t know where to find them since the were under protection. She said they hadn’t had any contact with David in three years.
• When Eve arrived at their home, Thomas said he had hoped (“God help me”) David was dead.
• They still loved David.
