WIN Group – The financial planning company founded and run by Bradley Whitestone, Jake Ingersol, and Rob Newton (W-I-N) before Calculated in Death.[1]

The origin story was: Brad and Rob went to college together, invested in their first property their first year of grad school - a dumpy little retail space on the Lower West Side, and it jump-started them as a team. They did most of the rehab work themselves, flipped it, dumped most of the profit into the market as partners, and made some more money. Brad worked for Prime Financial after college, while Rob worked for Allied, then they formed a company with Jake, whom Rob had met at Allied and they bought another place together and flipped it; they used that money (“the WIN investment fund”) to start the WIN Group. Jake’s uncle gave them a subsidiary to manage and Brad’s father let them take over the management of a small lead trust.

Peabody summed up the WIN Group as: “Newton’s the smooth one, Whitestone’s the charisma, and Ingersol’s the hamster” (“go, go, get it done”).

The other named employee was Marie, their receptionist[2], who had been with the WIN Group for about a year, when the expanding client list warranted a separate receptionist rather than the assistants riding herd. They hoped to take on an associate within the year.[1]
