Had been on the desk for Property for two years, four months.
His weigh-ins were regularly under the estimate, with the percentages of those discrepancies increasing when the estimate was outside Renee Oberman’s squad.
For an illegals raid six weeks prior to Treachery in Death, led by Lieutenant Harrod, the estimates were 30 kilos of Fuck You Up, 90 kilos of Dust and 500 capsules of Exotica, but the official count after check-in was 22 kilos of FYU, 84 of Dust and 375 caps of Exotica.
Detective Petrov did the estimate, but Detective Roger and two uniformed officers were injured during the bust, and the weigh-in was done by the crooked Sergeant Walter Runch.
He was assigned to Property after receiving a rip for busting up a bar while beating the hell out of his bookie after he lost five large over a three-point spread in Arena Ball. He had a gambling problem and was given the opportunity for counseling and reassignment, which he accepted.
Detective-Sergeant Samuel Allo questioned his invoices regularly; he received his first rip in a 30-year career for that (from Oberman).^[2]
