Homicide Information[]

  • Detective Carl Bix killed him on Oberman’s orders: Bix picked up Garnet, telling him Oberman had set up Dallas and they were taking her down that night. Interesting Facts[]

  • Reported to Renee Oberman and used to sleep with her.[2]
  • Second-grade detective, assigned to Illegals for the past four years.[3]
  • Eve provoked him into hitting her, for which he received a 30-day rip.[4]
  • Detective Carmichael gave Eve a cookie shaped like a dog, for busting Garnet’s balls. He was a jerk to her on a previous case and she was glad Eve brought him down.[5]
  • When Eve approached the gates of her home, Garnet was waiting for her. She engaged her recorder and got out. He was furious and on something, then attacked. She let him hit her first, then fought back. Roarke arrived just as Eve kicked the unregistered weapon out of Garnet’s hand. Garnet left with a bloody mouth and swollen eye. Roarke told Eve he wished she wouldn’t use her face as “an investigative tool.”
  • Renee arrived home to find Garnet at her door. He was mad that she hadn’t dealt with his suspension. She told him she asked her father to intervene. When she asked who punched him in the face she was furious he went to Dallas’s home. She ordered him to be seen with Freeman, then go home. She would contact him later and they’d deal with Dallas.
  • Had a home in the Canary Islands under the name Garnet Jacoby (his maternal grandmother’s maiden name was Jacoby) and was worth about sixty million dollars under that name and Jacoby Lucerne (Lucerne was the street where he lived as a child).[6]
