Took early retirement after only eight years in (he had been primary for Jasper Mott); he retired on less than ten percent of his full pension. If he had stayed in two more years, he could have doubled that pension. Detective Kimiki took over McRae’s cases after he retired.^[2]
He was a pretty solid cop and was in line for a standard promotion in less than a year. He had a good percentage rate on closing cases, had no shadows on his record, and worked Homicide the last three years.^[3]
His family was threatened and he was told his son would be the first to die (heart cut out) unless he backed off.^[4]
